The Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission, B. Kuchkarov, met with the Chairman of the Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives, Fuad Thaufeeq, during his participation in observing the Presidential election of the Republic of Maldives.

During the meeting, B. Kuchkarov expressed gratitude for the invitation and reception, and provided brief information about the electoral system of the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as the referendum on the new edition of the Constitution of Uzbekistan and the early Presidential election held this year.

In turn, Fuad Thaufeeq thanked him for his participation in the election and introduced the Uzbek guest to the activities of the Election Commission in preparing for and conducting the Presidential election. B. Kuchkarov also familiarized himself with the operations of the coordination center of the Election Commission of the Republic of Maldives, which is responsible for collecting and summarizing real-time information on voter participation, providing it to the election commission, and offering necessary advice to polling station staff.

During the visit, the Deputy Chairman of the Central Election Commission also visited a number of polling stations, where he engaged in discussions with polling station staff and voters.
