The International Foundation for Electoral Systems (IFES) is an international non-profit organization that provides assistance to election organizers and participants in developing democratic states. Founded in 1987, IFES is headquartered in Arlington, Virginia, USA. To date, IFES has provided election assistance in 145 countries.

Additionally, according to internet sources, the foundation provides technical assistance to election organizers, collaborates with civil society and government agencies to increase citizen participation in political processes, and promotes effective governance and the protection of democratic rights.
